County health departments are the”go to” source for local data and recommendations in California. The State of California is issuing orders and guidance to flatten the curve of infections. The CDC and WHO have excellent materials on safe practices.

Village leaders are rapidly adapting their operations to meet the needs of older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. They understand that building connections during a time of physical distancing is crucial for village members’ health and well-being. Villages across California have made thousands of calls to check in on members and assure them that they can depend on the village community. Many villages are sending daily updates to their volunteers and members. Nearly all villages have moved their programs online and taught members how to access web based platforms.
