Archstone Foundation provided essential funding for the planning, design, and launch phases of our statewide coalition. It is one of few foundations focused on preparing society for meeting the needs of an aging population. They invested in the Village model from 2010 to 2020.

Carestar Foundation
The Carestar Foundation strengthens connections and fosters partnerships in California’s injury prevention, emergency response and trauma care landscape to improve outcomes for all Californians. Carestar Foundation funding supports our long-term sustainability planning.

Joseph and Vera Long Foundation
The Joseph & Vera Long Foundation supports strategies to build social connections for older adults, reduce social isolation, and improve quality of life of vulnerable elders. Long Foundation funding supports the development of a video and photography library and social media campaign to connect older adults to California’s 37 villages.

SAGECare
SAGECare is a program of SAGE, the nation’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to LGBT elders. SAGECare provides cultural competency training to help organizations provide more welcoming care to LGBT older adults. Village Movement California has achieved platinum status through SAGECare’s training program.

Sistahs Aging with Grace and Elegance
Sistahs Aging with Grace and Elegance empowers and supports African American women with tools and resources they need to implement a plan of action that enhances their quality of life into their senior years.

Village to Village Network
The Village to Village Network is the national organization that collaborates to maximize the growth, impact and sustainability of individual Villages and the Village Movement. The Network provides expert guidance, resources and support to help communities establish and maintain their Villages.

Able Access Home Modifications
Able Access Home Modifications is a certified aging in place specialist. They are a Community Partner.

Senior Medicare Patrol
Senior Medicare Patrol is a national program that empowers and assists Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors, and abuse. California’s program is operated by California Health Advocates.
