The newsletter introduces a column on diversity and inclusion, announces a virtual conference “Innovation Can’t Wait”, and spotlights Sausalito Village’s COVID Initiative.
The newsletter’s theme is community resilience. Articles address the challenges and opportunities of this time, provide new resources, and shares words of inspiration.
The newsletter focuses on COVID-19 and its impact on the villages. It includes extensive notes from a statewide phone call of leaders discussing the impact of the pandemic on village operations, a list of reliable resources, and a schedule of weekly Zoom calls covering important topics related to villages’ response to COVID-19.
The newsletter announces the formation of Village Movement California’s Board of Directors, describes a project to explore villages’ entry into the healthcare delivery and payment system, and an article about loneliness.
This edition contains notes from the statewide call on Public Safety Power Shut Offs and the BRAVO meeting. It also highlights the goals of the Master Plan for Aging.
