Village Accelerator

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF THE VILLAGE ACCELERATOR! THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO HELP OUR EXISTING 50 CALIFORNIA VILLAGES INCREASE THEIR CAPACITY, MEET THEIR GROWTH GOALS, AND ENSURE THEIR SUSTAINABILITY.

The Accelerator is modeled after the Village Incubator and includes workshops and training, an evolving resource guide, the support of a learning community, and coaching from village leaders and industry professionals.

ACCELERATOR MODULES:

The initial modules were developed with input from our villages, and they include: Fund Development, Villages as Communities of Care, Village Infrastructure Development, and Village Leadership

We kicked off the program with the Fund Development module. Three workshops are offered covering the topics of grants, individual and legacy giving, and corporate sponsorships.

  • GRANTS 101: Morgan Moore and Erica Moore from Common Good Advisors took us on a deep dive into grant prospecting, relationship building, and proposal writing. See Members Portal for workshop video and resources.

  • INDIVIDUAL & LEGACY GIVING: Morgan Moore and Erica Moore from Common Good Advisors discussed engaging individual donors in a number of ways: direct donor asks, annual appeal letters, online giving, events, and legacy giving. See Members Portal for workshop video and resources.

  • CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS: April 24th at 1PM. Register in advance for this meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/9U1doLToTUOrbRuAk2Vg9g

This program is only available to Village Movement California member villages, so if you are not a member, join today!

Member Spotlight

Palos Verdes Peninsula Village

Palos Verdes Peninsula Village provides a community where members continue to grow, engage with one another, and age with independence, dignity and purpose.  Through volunteers and referrals, we provide support and services for members who have chosen to live in the communities and homes they love as they get older. Our mission is to preserve and enhance the comfort, security, dignity and sense of belonging for older residents who wish to continue to live on the Peninsula.
